This is the full truth about the origin of the play "No war in Troy" by Jean Giraudoux in literature course of the 12th grade under the direction of Ms. Smith. It all started innocently enough ...

But as soon as we had selected the piece, the casting par excellence took place  under the strict eyes of Mrs. Schmidt, Mrs. Kahl, Mrs. Baumgard and Mrs. Liebrecht. As usual perfectly prepares and extremely certainly about text each of us produced two roles. While four jurors  her blood sugar level and her mind balanced by noshing crackers, they decided on the final star occupation. Problem, besides: beside the number of participants anyway already sprinkling the course frame (13!) above all the excessive portion of male participants (3 threatened!) which tore themselves all by force over the main role (Hektor) which fascinated by elegant text volume, the success of the piece with lasting effect. At last Tobias Hurtmann was obliged in famously reserved manner by Mrs. Kahl absolutely voluntarily to lend Hektor his face. Habemus Hektorem!

After this still rather modest cliff still much more immense gulches opened directly. While Mrs. Schmidt hopelessly optimistically and with the most full trust in her schoolboys and -girls looked forward excitedly the happy fact that the course would be able to sing the respective text backward in the sleep at the latest end of January,  Mrs. Kahl intensely  dealt with the text. The large part of the course violated the same by strictly inadäquate debate. „Point the Suffixes!“ and „sound and clearly speak!“ were, besides, popular remarks to lead the course discreetly on the right way what culminated, finally, in speech tests for the most prominent linguistic talents. The months passed off, like Mrs. Schmidt confidence, and while she bought or produced keenly costumes  as well as she hired supporting actors (here a thank-you to Berna Kip, Bernadette Bähr and Marius Rehmert), the course tried till six weeks before the premiere to channel more or less unobtrusively the librettoes on the stage. In addition to the anyway quite precarious health situation of some course participants who shone rather by absence than by achievement the not at all existent text knowledge made worse with lasting effect Mrs. Schmidt mental constitution. The missing scenery did its remaining to let tend all hope for a performance even being enough for the slightest claims against zero. The sentence of the quarter was called typically „Rather don't make plans for the weekend …“.
